HL GP 7: Place 5-8, Fabian Moyschewitz, Reanimator, 7-0-1 in Swiss

Here is the next top 8 decklist for you. It’s Fabian Moyschewitz’ Reanimator list who was first after 8 rounds of swiss. I’m not sure but I think the original deck designer is Patrick Richter, correct me if I’m wrong.

HL GP 7, 10th place: 5c Staxx

The deck that looked most promising to me since Survival had left the format is Staxx. I used to play a 5c-Staxx-variant running Oath of Druids alongside with Empyrial Archangel, Sundering Titan, Filigree Angel and Karn, Silver Golem, but I felt that I’d often end up in a draw in matches since that version of the Staxx deck can hardly win fast.

The deck is totally invulnerable against Non-Basic-Hate since it only plays five non-basic lands: Misty Rainforest, Evolving Wilds, Terramorphic Expanse, Thawing Glaciers and Wasteland.

Now let’s have a look at the decklist: more…

A deck a day pt. 2: MBC with a splash

While Sturmgott is busy at work, I want to give you a new list. This time it is an oldy which might be interesting if you suspect an aggro-meta. MBC always performed well against aggro and with adding green you have more flexibility against the typical threats for MBC.

So, no long talking, here’s the list: more…

A deck a day pt. 1: UW Stax Control

From now on until Friday, I will try to introduce a deck a day which I consider viable to be played on HL GP 7 on Saturday.

A friend of mine decided to play UW Control on that GP, but in the last few test games the deck didn’t perform all too well. Especially the matchup vs. Stax didn’t look very promising. But how could the deck be improved? more…
